I tutor AP Calculus AB and BC for students at international schools across Hong Kong. I’ve taught calculus for 8 years, both in school and online, and focus a lot on FRQs, limits, derivatives and series. Lessons are quite structured but I always leave time for tricky homework questions, calculator skills and practice tests before the May exam season. Most of my lessons run in English but I’m happy to explain ideas in Cantonese when needed.

I’m an engineering undergrad at HKUST who picked up tutoring AP Calculus during sixth form and have carried on through uni. Most of my students are in Grade 11 or 12 at American-curriculum schools in Hong Kong. We spend a lot of time on optimisation, related rates and series, plus timed sections for both calculator and non-calculator papers in online whiteboard sessions. Parents often message me just before tests, so I’m used to doing focused one-off revision classes too.

I run evening and weekend sessions for AP Calculus and SAT Maths. I did my maths degree in the US and took both AB and BC myself, so I know the pacing and style of the exam quite well. Students usually come to me to tidy up gaps in algebra and trigonometry before we push through past papers on integrals, series and differential equations. I like using simple sketches and graphs so that the ideas feel less abstract and easier to recall in the exam room.
