I’m an English teacher at an international school in Kowloon, where I run AP English Language and school writing workshops. A lot of my tutoring is helping students with rhetorical analysis essays, synthesis questions and argument prompts, especially before mocks. I’m happy to look over school essays between lessons and leave comments, so we can use lesson time for discussion and timed planning drills.

I teach AP English Language and AP Seminar at a Hong Kong secondary school and tutor privately on weekday evenings. My focus is usually on non-fiction reading, argument structure and polishing timed essays to fit the rubric. Students share screenshots of classroom feedback so we can target weak areas, whether it’s commentary, use of evidence or just getting the introduction started.

I work with AP English Language students who struggle with timing and structure. We practise short planning drills, annotation techniques and different ways to approach synthesis sources before writing full essays. I also help with school assignments, from commentary to speeches, and keep a simple checklist so students can see which rubric points they are already hitting.
